Long story. But I just moved into a new apt. Just my luck 1 neighbor lived like Sandford and son, really bad conditions (like hoarders) just moved they had 2 dogs. My dog nevered had fleas, Another neighbor 2 doors down found 2 fleas on his dog. So I give my dog 12 year old Collie mix a flea bath found 5 dead ones, so I throw out her blanket, use her treatment like a week early and bomb my apt,all in the same day put flea carpet and vacuum every day. I think they are outside, in the same area where they put Sandford and Son put all of there boxes. So I wait 2 days another bath and find 2 dead fleas. Now tomorrow the apt complex is bombing all 3 apt. But when I brushed her tonight I found 1 on her, but a bald spot near her tail and her skin is really dry. I heard vegetable oil in her water and another bath? I'm calling the vet in the morning. Thanks

I have a green parakeet/budgie and it has it's wings clipped. It"s stick trained. WHen it comes out the cage it try to fly when frightened but can't due to it's clipped wings. All the time. Watching Johnny Depp in the Burton version of "Sweeney Todd" made me re-write the entire staging for later this year. I am directing a musical "Bye Bye Birdie" going up in early April, acting in another one as a benefit for the Darfur Refugee fund going up a week later, beginning rehearsals for a third, "The Fabulous Forties", for summer and since it is my turn to direct the autumn benefit I chose "Sweeney Todd" just before the Burton movie opened. I was so totally blown away by Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (and, of course, Sacha Baron Cohen's malicious counterfeit Italian) that my istant Director and I are re-cutting the script. We are incorporating many of the darker touches from the film version and making the realism a whole lot "realer". Additionally we decided to go with a full orchestra and chorus using as much of the film's orchestrations that we can. I am pre-recording the opening bars on the pipe organ in our local Presbyterian Church (it's one of the largest Cavant Bros. organs in the Southwest!) It took about ten minutes of the film to make us both look at each other, jaws dropped, realizing that this was a whole new version, a lot grimmer, and a lot more fun (for us, anyway-- we were snorting with laughter all the way through the film-- we're kind of dark-souled anyway....)

What chance do I have to go to college in the US?

Well I don't know the statistics, nor do I know good back ups, but I am a pre-med college student at the moment in the US so I can give you some insight. The medical schools you mentioned are tough to get in to....real tough. Sometimes not even a 4.0 GPA and a high MCAT score is enough. It's crazy here. The average GPA a student admitted into a med school here has is 3.8, so there are plenty of 4.0's and the average MCAT score is 32 (it's been raised) so you can shine there. Apply to the pre-med colleges that you listed, but just know that there is a chance you might not get in (although your chances seem very high). But when all is said and done, it doesn't matter what med school you go to, you come out as a doctor regardless, and don't believe that only Harvard, Columbia, and Yale will make you a good doctor because that's not true. So I'll give you the same advice that was told to me: aim high, but do not collapse when something goes wrong. I too wanted a 4.0 (I'm a sopre now), and got 2 A-'s (which are different than A's at my college), so my GPA is 3.9 something. But I'm okay with it because I've been volunteering at a hospital, have been studying for the MCAT's, and trying to get close with my professors (remember they write your letter of recommendations). So I don't know if this helps, but it's some insight. Good luck.

I am an lacto-ovo vegetarian and i live in a family of meat eaters. i made my choice when i was 11. i am proud of my decision and i stand by it. for telling your parents, don't beat around the bush, tell them how you feel, they will understand. as for the age, to me it never mattered. the pros are what you make them and your cholesterol will benefit, cons are smelling bacon in the morning. ;P You would be lacking protein so i would suggest protein bars, i have these really good Chocolate ones. if you are worried about home ec get there early on the first day and explain it to her, she will understand. i don't eat any type of meat-meat. meaning cows, chickens, lamb, pig, and anything else someone may eat, but i do eat some seafood. some suggestions i have for you do you make the change, i keep that as need to know information, get to lunch early so you can get the veggie meals if you buy and don't let anyone make you regret the decision.

I met this guy last semester and we really hit it off! We IM all the time sometimes even til 4 in the morning. A few months later I found out he had a girlfriend. I believe I have put to much oil in my lawn mower. Will the problem eventually correct itself?

I believe I put too much oil in my 6.75 HP Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine. I changed spark plugs and the thing started again but the new plug was immeidately left with a charred end. At 31 weeks baby measured 34wks, at 33 weks she measured 35 and now at 35 weeks is measuring 39!!! Ive been reffered to obstetrician but I have to wait until Friday? Im presuming they will cheke for diabetes? They have already checked her fluid a couple of week ago and it was fine, does anybody know what will happen if she starts to measure past 40 weeks but not by due date?? Should Tattoo Art Be Taught In Grade School?

I just heard of an art teacher that one of her projects she teaches her 4th graders about an African tribe and then one of their choices of "hands-on" activity is to draw a tattoo design because the Africans have tattoos. I immediately wondered if some of the parents might find this objectionable that their 4th grader is role playing a tattoo artist or in any way glamorizing the process. Then I asked myself if my child came home one day from school and showed me their "artwork" that they made and wanted it to be permanently embedded in them, I would be highly upset. I understand that they are attempting to teach the kids about culture and art, but I would ume their would be a plethora of things in the African culture as far as art goes that could be focused on besides tattoos. No matter how slim a chance it may be, if a grade school art project ends up being the thing that "planted the seed" in a youngsters mind to get tattoos, I think would be a shame and not what our educational system should be about.

HMO MEDICAL INSURANCE WON'T COVER CHARGES?

I found out I was pregnant and had to attend a meeting out of state. I like both cars Price would be around the same...The tC does have more standard features( moonroof, mp3 cd player, subwoofer, outside temp gauge, turn signals on side mirrors.) These are all things that the accord would not have. I like the accord coupe shape a little better. and received some very sensitive and constructive advice, but I am now at my wits end. We have had our dog Lie since she was 4 weeks old and she is now nearly 17 yrs old. For the past few months she has begun to mess in the house and is constantly wanting to go outside during the day and night. She has no infection and is, other than a bit arthritic, generally healthy. My children have now left home and I am left 'holding the dog'. I am not being flippant, but I have virtually become a prisoner in my own home. I have even been sleeping downstairs all these months just to let her out and this can be up to 10 times during the night and more so during the day. I do take her out, but it has got to the stage where, even after a walk, she will still come in and mess. I know she is old and I love her dearly as do all the family, but they are all out and about and working and getting on with their lives. I sleep, on average, about 2hrs in 24 and my health and sanity is beginning to waiver.

I don't remember my first day of kindergarten but I do remember my first day of my senior year. We got duped out of ALL of the normal traditions. One thing all the cles met in the gym for orientation and the seniors always sat in the center of the floor in front of the bleachers that the freshmen sat on so that they could turn and stare at them and freak them out-but our cl didn't get to. After my second child I started doing kickboxing workouts at home and lost all of my pregnancy weight- back to normal healthy weight. Then after my 3rd child I started to add weights into my routines and more cardio, doing aerobic drills and step, and kickboxing and I will workout 5-6 days a week, doing weights 3x a week, and cardio every one of those days. I lost more weight, but not too much- I am definately in the best shape I have ever been in. And the only way I lost weight FAST in the beginning was exercising and eating in moderation ( NOT DIETING) I hate diets. I just made sure I didn't eat a lot of bad stuff, and made my meals smaller. Of course now I just eat...I try not to pig out or over eat but I do love to snack!! I have maintained a healthy weight for 2 years now since my 3rd child and I hope to continue. Exercise is the MAIN reason....I make myself do it! I do workout dvds at home. I love it!

Since cooler weather, I've been wearing darker colored clothing. I'm having a problem with lint, dust and pet hair sticking to them. The more I use the lint brush, the more it seems to attract these troublesome items. you are probably working yourself too hard too fast, you need to be patient and start out gradually, if you start getting short of breath or sore stop and take a break. As you get more and more into the routine of exercising on a regular basis your body will get accustomed to it, you'll have more energy and you will be able to do more over time. Be patient and do not get discouraged. Eating a balanced diet also really helps.

i just put a 5 gallian air tank for my air horn in my truck. it was at 150 psi at 7am and at 20 psi at 3pm so thare is quite a leak. it takes a long time for my compresser to pump it back up so i waunt to fix it. i used thred tape on all the fittings 6 turnes about the 1/2in prots and 3 times around the 1/4 witch is what the instictians that came with the tank sed to do but is thare a better way to get it more air tight

2 days ago i took 12 dramamine for the first time,and i didnt eat anything that day, it was hella intense and different from anything ive done before, better than taking 16 triple C's. yesterday night me and my friend ate a sandwich and some other food then about 3 hours after that we both popped 12 dramamine and i really didnt feel anything from it (no hallucinations or weird talking lol) is it because we ate? or some other reason? we are going to wait until this coming up weekend to try it again, any tips?

There are different kinds of scholarships. Some are need based, for which you would need to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and some are merit based, and go off of test scores and GPA. hi i own a vauxhall combo 1.4 1999 v reg converted by vauxhall after purchase by wirral council pre to me owning this motor the kits made by koltec it runs perfect on petrol on lpg it runs fine on lpg at top end cruising and on tick over but on accleration it mis-fires i have changed the plugs again putting in standard ngk normal plugs i had the lpg system safety checked and it ped the local garage could not do anything as they know nothing on lpg any ideas?

Pain/cramps at 38 weeks coinciding with baby movement?

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and for the last few weeks I have been experiencing what feels like cramping or stretching pain in my uterus when baby is really active. She always moves but when she really gets to wriggling, its quite sharp and painful down there and nowhere else. I have a high tolerance for pain and this just kinda catches me off guard and is really uncomfortable for the few seconds that it lasts. I tried to talk to my doc about it but, frustratingly, she didn't listen or give me a real answer. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Don't get me wrong, I think The Dark Knight is a great movie. It's just that in my opinion, Batman Begins had a cooler atmosphere and seemed more like a Batman movie. Gotham City in BB was more dark and creepier, it felt like how you would imagine Gotham City to be. TDK's Gotham City wasn't like that, it was just plain and ordinary. Another thing that sort of bothered me, was that TDK wasn't Batman's movie. It was more centered on the villains( The Joker and Harvey Dent/Two-Face) than the protagonist which was a problem with the Batman movies from the 80s/90s. Whenever Batman showed up on screen he wasn't as intimidating as he was in BB. That's the end of my rant. Opinions, please?

Pasta w/garlic & oil Lacking Flavor. Please Help.?

I made Rigatoni with pure olive oil ( the one for dressings, bread & marinating) loads of garlic but not whole fresh garlic. I used the minced garlic in the jar because I once used fresh garlic and I couldn't get the smell off of my fingers for weeks, I tried everything! I put a pinch of red pepper flakes, salt & pepper & added some fresh broccoli. I have it now in the crockpot to keep it warm because it is for a pot luck today at work. I tasted it and all I taste is olive oil! I am going to run to the store on my lunch to buy something to add some flavor too it, what could I get? Italian seasoning or the zesty italian (good seasons) dressing mix, dried basil or parsley? I cant be anything fresh because I am not going to a grocery store I am going to Target. I did bring some of the water that I boiled the pasta in with me to work, I read it somewhere that I should. I want it to be a little zingy or zesty. I want people to wonder what I put in it. I would have added some crushed croutons but I dont think that would be good with the broccoli. Thanks for reading! :-)
